Loved this Jen! Such a neat idea to make a list of all the things you donβt need. Iβve been realizing this: how little I truly need to be happy. Especially when I go on camping trips.
This was so good: βI donβt need to travel to be adventurous; the journeys I take, whether on foot or through pages of a book,Β infuse my life with just the right dash of novelty.β
Also cool you got to meet James! The WoP community is larger than life.
Glad you enjoyed it Tommy! So much of the world is telling me that I need certain things but I don't actually so I wanted to clarify that for my future self.
Camping trips definitely create such a fresh sense of gratitude. It's like being a caveman and then you come back and realize what a beautiful invention plumbing or a fridge is π
Happy you like that line - I still fancy it myself as well :)
Per WoP community: what a perk of an online course with a global community!
I loved SO many of these Jen! Especially this one: βI donβt need social media to have a personal brand; how about I authentically interact with others daily with how I move through life?β
I've been pondering recently on how personal brands used to exist where media wasn't the crux of it. I'm glad I wiggled this contemplation into the piece and you resonate with it!
These are all awesome, Jen! I love reading these posts. Especially loved this line: "I donβt need social media to have a personal brand; how about I authentically interact with others daily with how I move through life?" Resonate with that on a lot of levels. Thanks for writing and sharing (love the pictures too!) :)
Hey Jack! I appreciate you reading. And that truth I've been meditating on feels spiky to share in today's world. It even got me pondering whether as a writer I really *have* to have a brand. Would love to dissect and probe this topic more if you're interested. I'm glad you liked the pictures too! They were a last minute add that I felt added more life to the words :)
Such a good one, Jen! Essence over excess - love it.
Something so freeing about stripping it down to basics, seeing what actually matters, what you actually need, then throwing out the rest. Whether thatβs beliefs or actual things.
Totally Carina, makes me think of another inspiring quote "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." - Leonardo da Vinci. It's so tempting to muddy up life with too much because we're told it'll be better but that's not the case.

So great to be with you earlier this week!

Looking forward to staying connected James :)

And enjoyed the behind-the-scenes, of course :)
