"As someone who personally journals daily, I feel guilty for reading Plath’s private journal unedited in original form because we never got her consent to do so."
Love Plath and I have such mixed feelings about journals like that getting published, for that same reason. It feels wrong 😬
Wishing you lots of very deep rest, Jen! Your body and spirit deserve it.
Per privacy note- at the same time, Auntie Pilahi Paki aka “The Keeper of the Secrets of Hawaii” wanted to keep much knowledge and wisdom private but if she had, then much of it would've been lost after her passing in 1985. I'm torn around what is morally okay with disclosure
Haha! thanks for the shoutout. Rest well and looking forward to our next catch up call. 🙂
Appreciate the nudge friend :)

Hey Sandra, I just read about this and was curious what your thoughts are on this initiative? It's such a cool curation but also an invasion of privacy: https://lettersofnote.com/2023/03/04/diaries-of-note/
AHHHH
My mixed feelings strike again. Thank you for sharing this because I cannot resist going down a rabbit hole like this one.
It so is an invasion of privacy....and yet....my curiosity and love of letters make me weak
😬
Thank you so much Sandra <3 Much appreciated
