Awww thank you for reading Liane! I am glad you enjoyed! I'm curious what resonated or what you enjoyed? I am considering to write something similar about my time in the Netherlands the past ~5 months :)
I resonate with and respect the sense of humility I felt when reading your learnings. There was a sense of "Anyone anywhere is a teacher for me, even though I am a teacher." What came through was reflections on the assumptions and expectations you may have started with and your willingness/need to check them and revise.
The world would be a better place with more of this self-awareness and reflection.
Yes, please write about your learnings from your time in the Netherlands.
Yes, I am most grateful to the ability to sense things and listen and ask questions. It makes learning on the fly much quicker, especially because I felt like I knew goose egg when I moved here.
I really enjoyed reading this, Jen. Thank you for writing, thank you for sharing!
