Aloha fellow learn-it-all 👋
Greetings from San Francisco!
Big update!
I submitted my memoir and debut book at 4:59 PM PST today (about an hour ago)!!! The paperback book will be available for purchase on Wedesday, October 23, 2024 on Amazon. I cannot wait to share my most heartfelt work with you all, curated into 132 pages!
Anywho, I flew here to SF today, and after two hours, I already saw 11 Waymo self-driving cars. Yesterday, I saw my first one ever in Santa Monica, and then, through the bending roads of Topanga Canyon, five Teslas were driving in front of me. This is wild guys! Now it’s like they’re casually no big deal. What!? I feel like I’m walking around in the future. Even the cement on the sidewalk here in SF sparkles in the sun!
I’m currently writing to you from my friend’s apartment. He has the fluffiest cat ever, and I’m trying my darndest not to get cat dander all over my keyboard. I felt like I should nap today after I slept all four hours and spent 19 minutes excitedly editing my book last night; alas, I didn’t. BUT, I did ride the streetcar for the first time today and I am about to crush some Asian Fusion and maybe sing some Karaoke songs to celebrate my book, and I am definitely getting at least 8 hours of sleep tonight.
There you have it folks.
Below in the rest of letter 232 is a poem about me engaging in my tumbleweed mode, a photo, a quote, and some shoutouts. Enjoy!

❓Question to think about
What’s the project that you would love to put out in the world in the next year?
📜🖋 Poetry Corner
🌬️Tumbleweed in the Breeze
A tumbleweed rolls through each town, Plopping here, then spinning around. Though I drift like wood, I know where I’ve stood— My roots run deep, yet I'm not bound.
🌟Quote to inspire
“As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters” - Seneca
📸Photo of the Week
Taken at Malibu Lagoons, stalking surfers zippered up in their wet suits. The Pacific Ocean over here is chilly as heck! I felt too chicken to go into these waters. I never realized how spoiled I was swimming and surfing without a wet suit in Honolulu.
🙏Shoutouts
to Grace who I met on my plane ride today. She is a fellow midwesterner from Indiana who are a mom and a professional cellist whose hobbies include traveling and sending out postcards using the app “Postagram.” You’re the bomb!
To
for being the MVP of the past ten days and creating a book cover of my dreams for me! She’s the absolute bomb
