Love the monthly recap! Carly is also inspiring me to reach out more with Tether. Also if you're gonna be in Amsterdam a little while longer and looking for a Zen group to sit with, I have a rec I can send!

Thank you Brandon! Believe it or not, I cut it in half and had a whole entire private version. I used to have a monthly playlist I'd share but it was never curated tastefully.

And yes Tether is so Cool! I have had so many Notion projects set up for daily reachouts over the year but the system is never clear and simple enough but now there's no friction for it.

And yes please do share the rec- I am dating around to find sangha to align and support my spiritual practices.

9 hours is a LONG walk! And do you really keep track of the new words you look up?

haha Rick it's funny you say that. For the past 3 years my walk has been 12 hours and nearly twice the distance. This year I had some guilt about making it shorter but realized that it's an invitation for some grace.

And yes! Long story short, one of the most consistent journals I had before a daily one was a daily word journal that I would fill when I was bored at my finance internships. I love defining words, it adds so much color to actual understanding. If i can't explain a word to someone else, then I look it up and write it down and hope I remember it better. This is also a part of why I like being around folks who know english as a second language because then there are more invitations to question the meanings of words and to define words without there being any ego in the room for being dumb.

Hadn't thought of this upside to being around ESL folks. A refresh lens for the english language. That makes sense.
