I’ve been thinking about this poem often the last week! I can relate to it so much, the rose colored glasses, the elusive bar. Surrender is so hard, but I’m in awe by how you’re building a life here with such an open heart.. learning the language, saying yes all these experiences only 6 weeks in. Wishing you a very big chill pill. Groetjes🤍
Thank you Nathalie. I am glad you enjoyed this and it sat with you as it's still sitting with me. Now two months here :) Excited to see you soon to catchup. Groetjes <3
Love your poem! I am glad your are experiencing a dream, a long time in the making to live in Amsterdam. Enjoy your time filled with adventure, and curiosity living in this city of your ancestors. Enjoy this time abroad living this Dutch dream. Maybe you can someday fill the other half of your ancestry and visit Poland while abroad as well. Missing you.
Aww thank you for reading Mom <3 I am glad you like the poem and that Aunt Lindy liked turning this into a song! And yes, yes, I would go to Poland with you someday!
