I love this idea of friction maxxing and the meaning you gave it. I so agree with this: “Convenience isn’t evil. But it’s not always queen” .

I’ve been on my phone a lot lately and had been thinking about swapping my iPhone for a dumb phone, but the sheer inconvenience of it all held me back. Reading your article made me realize the first step doesn’t have to be so extreme, something smaller, like a single phone-free day, feels much more achievable. Thanks for the inspo!

This, like "Convenience isn’t evil. But it’s not always queen," came to me on a walk, and it crystallized so much for me :) I'm glad you appreciate it Nathalie!

I have also done some research on getting a Sleke phone which is a dumber phone but making that switch seems like it would make an excessive amount of friction that I don't need right now. I love how you saw this as an invitation to compromise as well with some more phone-free times.
