I don’t even know where to start because this letter had me feeling so many feels! The thing your dad said, I wrote it down when I read it in your book because it was genius “to have a friend you need to be a friend. Who were you friends to? Who did you invite to play with you?”. And that letter at the end. I’m really grateful you shared all of it, because it turned a bad day around.

Aww Nathalie thank you for reading and your reflections and for so thoughtfully reading my work and cheering me on! I'm glad those words I echoed from my dad resonated. I still hear them echoing within me many lonely days.

And yes it felt so serendipitous to see this quote from Nadine in Kentucky. The line I love most is "I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I’d have fewer imaginary ones."

Love your poem at the beginning. Very special. It’s needs to become a song. Why don’t you take those lyrics and put music around it and publish it. Would be fun to see if it would propagate and take off! 🎼🎶🎵

thank you for turning my silly goose poem (in my other letter) into a song! I welcome ideas like these :-D

I just came to the comments that I really enjoyed that piece.

And how valuable is that quote?

Why am I not sillier?

Jen, loved reading this letter! My goal is to be a fietser too this summer, where I can fly and have the time of my life:)
