Welcome back to the Netherlands and to the world of imperfect humans! It’s a big swimming pool - so large that we can piss in it and no one will notice.
I loved reading this piece and thank you for sharing the flawed (and expensive!) photos. They demonstrate the dissonance between perceived beauty and how our introspection can eff up even a tranquil beach scene :).
Audrey, I am glad you enjoyed the flaws. It was scary to do since I feel like I've always strived to be an A student, and this feels like such a counterintuitive action to do.
The finger-in-frame photos made me laugh (and depending on how you look at it, it might be 40 euros well spent for the lesson alone haha). Yay for you sharing the weeds. I can relate to how scary that feels, especially online and as a (recovering) high achiever and in a world where (as my husband said to me yesterday) everything has to be perfect and we apparently can't stumble anymore. But as you say.. weeds can be kind of pretty and interesting. Whatever your niche ;) your observations always leave me inspired to go to through my day with a little more presence. I left our coffee chat feeling equally inspired.

Good thing I love swimming!

Let's keep on capturing the beauty in life.
The finger reminds us of the presence of the amazing human behind the camera 😁.
Aww thank you for saying this Jolleen <3 You're an amazing creative sporty human too!
